4 Questions You Should Always Ask Carpet Cleaners

1.)    What is your method of cleaning? There are several different ways approved by the IICRC to safely and effectively clean carpet and tile. Hot water extraction is ranked as the preferred method by the IICRC and has been found to deliver the best results. Should you choose a dry cleaning method, your carpets will remain damp for a shorter period of time but the overall cleaning will only be successful if you’ve maintained a good cleaning regiment along with the age of the carpets.

1.) What type of equipment do you use?  There are two types of truck mounts. The first is the “slide in” type that has its own power system and the truck merely carries the equipment.  It is fuel and space efficient. The other type is the “Engine Powered” type which is connected to the engine of the truck. The operation is controlled by a clutch. The equipment is compact, simple to use and reliable.

1.) Are your technicians certified? To be IICRC certified means you have extensive knowledge about various areas of carpet cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, upholstery cleaning and more. It means you know the science behind stains, chemicals, the environment and how it not only affects your carpet but also your health. I wouldn’t want an electrician to service my home without certification. It’s important you expect the same from your desired carpet cleaners.

1.) Do your offer any guarantee on your work? >Fusion offers a 10-day guarantee where we will re-visit your home within the 10-day time period to address any issues that did not get addressed before your cleaning. All carpet cleaning companies should offer some type of guarantee. I would be very skeptical if they didn’t.
